Monkey Do was born in Slough House Woods, 25 years ago, at the start of the millennium, in a magical Bluebell carpeted Beech and Hazel Haven.
And every year, for May-Day, we return there and set up a unique and inclusive kids camp.
Founded as a small non-profit social enterprise to promote tree climbing and free wild play activities in parks and woodlands, we’ve since facilitated treetop adventures for many thousands of people over the years.
The popularity of what we do then led us to incorporate Monkey-Do as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company at the start of 2010, with the aim of taking our mission further.

Monkey-Do’s staff have considerable expertise across arboriculture, rope access, environmental education and adventure play provision.
We're insured to work with children up to heights of 10m, with all of the crew being knowledgeable riggers, trained in the installation of safety nets.
Each person on the team is also CRB checked, and experienced with children, allowing everyone present to double up as play supervisors.

Monkey-Do has an ethos that prioritises activities that encourage environmental and social benefits rather than commercial gain.
These activities give young people the opportunity to play outdoors and in particular enjoy playing safely but with a degree of risk.
Our work helps to engender greater understanding, enthusiasm, and respect for the natural environment in young people.

We're committed to liberating children from unnecessary strictures and fostering independence and self-determination.
in general we don't have much truck with rules. But there are a set of dos and don'ts we ask people to follow around the nets to keep everybody safe and having fun.
You can watch Vic explaining these to a group of children in the video below.
