Monkey-Do and Highgate Wood reconvene for another three-day symbiotic relationship, beginning on Friday 29th August and ending on the afternoon of Sunday 31st! We'll be installing nets and other equipment until around 12/1pm on the Friday, after which we will open our own unique adventure ecosystem in the canopy to the public...

Family Woodland Adventure Weekend at Hazel Hill Wood

FAMILY WOODLAND ADVENTURE WEEKEND

June 27-29: Hazel Hill Wood, near Salisbury - for kids 7-12 with an adult family member.

Enjoy some wild wood adventures and the magic of the trees. Take risks and have fun in a net-play world suspended between the trees, for climbing, jumping and hanging around in. Learn about wilderness skills and ecology, explore the woodland with all your senses, enjoy some silence in this beautiful setting and celebrate your stories around the fire.

Hazel Hill Wood is a great place for fun, exploring, and a fresh view on life. The weekend will be guided by a professional team from Monkey-Do and Hazel Hill. Monkey-Do are experts in creating rope-net structures, with 12 years’ experience. Hazel Hill is a magical 70-acre woodland centre and nature sanctuary, with great facilities including off-grid eco-buildings, and lots of wildlife.

PRACTICALITIES AND PRICES

This is a residential weekend for children age 7-12 with an adult family member: this could be a parent, grandparent, or any relative over 21. Maximum 2 kids per adult. No pets. Timing 6pm Friday to 3pm Sunday.

Hazel Hill offers basic accommodation in sleeping lofts and rooms with foam mattresses, with good hot showers, compost loos and both indoor and outdoor spaces for meeting and eating. You can also camp if you bring your own tent.

ADVENTURES IN THE TREES FOR TEENAGERS

June 13 – 15: Hazel Hill Wood , near Salisbury - for teens age 13-17.

Create your own wild wood adventures, and experience the magic of the trees. Challenge yourself designing and building a rope-net structure hung between the trees, for climbing, jumping, hanging around – even sleeping in.

Hazel Hill Wood is a great place for fun, exploring and a fresh view on life. The weekend will be guided by a professional team from Monkey-Do and Hazel Hill. Monkey-Do are experts in creating rope-net structures, with 12 years’ experience. Hazel Hill is a magical 70-acre woodland centre and nature sanctuary, with great facilities including off-grid eco-buildings and lots of wildlife.

PRACTICALITIES AND PRICES

This is a residential weekend for unaccompanied teens 13-17 years. Timing 6pm Friday to 3pm Sunday. Price £95, including accommodation and simple vegetarian food. Some concessionary places available at £65.

You can also camp if you bring your own tent. Depending on the weather you’ll get a chance to sleep in your creation high above the ground or in a shelter under the trees.

Go Wild Get Active in Archway

Hillside Park & St John's Verge, Archway, Islington, London N19

We'll be in our childhood stomping ground of Archway in North London, putting a few nets and tree swings up in Hillside Park, and running tree climbing from a rope and harness in the London Plane trees on the adjacent section of St John's Verge. As ever, free for all - come on down between 12 and 4pm. Islington council are also screening Project Wild Thing (which Monkey-Do feature in) at Caxton House in case you haven't caught it yet.
