Tree Ecology

Climbing trees is a great way to get close to nature. As we climb in trees and sit in nets we have a good opportunity to learn about wildlife associated with them. The document called Tree Ecology aims to give examples of what may be found living on a tree and the role of trees in ecosystems. The Tree Ecology document is divided into the following sections:

- The role of trees in the ecosystem
- Woodland ecosystems
- The ecological value of non-woodland trees
- Ecosystem services provided by trees
- The need for conservation of tree related habitats
